Job Summary:

The SEO/SEM Specialist is responsible for managing all search engine optimization and marketing activities. They will work to increase the company’s visibility on major search engines, driving more traffic and conversions through effective and innovative strategies. The specialist will handle all aspects of SEO including keyword research, on-page optimization, content strategy, and link building, as well as SEM campaigns through Google AdWords, Bing Ads, and other platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  1. SEO Responsibilities:
  • - Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research to guide content teams and web developers.
  • - On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content, landing pages, and paid search copy. Ensure all content is search engine friendly.
  • - Technical SEO: Work with the web development team to ensure best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
  • - Content Strategy: Develop and implement link link-building strategy. Collaborate with content creators to produce SEO-friendly content.
  • - Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze SEO statistics such as redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs. Generate performance reports regularly.
  1. SEM Responsibilities:
  • - Campaign Management: Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns.
  • - Ad Creation: Create and manage PPC campaigns across different platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads). Write and test various ad copies.
  • - Bid Management: Perform ongoing bid management and optimization.
  • - Landing Page Optimization: Optimize landing pages for search engine marketing.
  • - Analysis and Reporting: Analyze campaign performance and recommend and implement strategies for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management.

Qualifications:

  • - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • - Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • - Technical Skills:
    • - In-depth knowledge of SEO factors and key algorithm updates.
    • - Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz).
    • - Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • - Strong proficiency in Google AdWords, Bing Ads, and other PPC platforms.
  • - Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • - Soft Skills:
    • - Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • - Strong organisational and time-management skills.
    • - Creative problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • - Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • - Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
  • - Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM.
  • - Experience in a B2B or B2C environment.
