We are looking for a Business Development Associate to join our organisation. In this role you will be assisting to deliver on the organisation's marketing and sales strategies.
Job Details:
Assess industry landscape:
Conduct research to analyse emerging industry trends
Evaluate impact of potential government initiatives and regulatory changes on the industry and organisation
Assess current and emerging client needs in the context of the organisation's products and services
Develop strong industry networks across clients, vendors, partners and institutions
Drive sales excellence:
Assist in formulating sales strategies and priorities which reflect the organisation's business objectives
Assist in preparing the organisation's sales expense budgets to determine how to increase sales and profits
Assist in the development of proposals and sales collateral based on evaluation of business opportunities
Assist in sales negotiations and pitch processes
Develop marketing plans:
Assist in developing the organisation's marketing objectives and strategies in line with the organisation's business objectives
Conduct target customer profile analyses to define desired market segments
Lead the development of creative concepts and marketing content
Oversee the management of service providers and vendors who assist with marketing content creation or implementation
Develop and implement marketing campaigns in line with the organisation's marketing objectives and strategies
Resource mobilisation:
Analyse return on investment to inform the organisation's sales policies and programmes
Evaluate potential opportunities with funding providers and partners to ensure alignment with the organisation's sales strategies and policies
Assist in the development of external funding applications
Analyse and develop partnerships with potential collaborators to create a both short and long term value for the organisation.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification/Professional License:
Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university
At least 3 years experience in selling business to business solutions
Experience in managing projects
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:
Ability to work independently whether onsite or remotely as part of a distributed team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, research and organisational skills
Can articulate and relay information in an effective and efficient manner
High sense of urgency, with the ability to meet deadlines
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and internet usage
Ability to write clear and concise emails
Ability to create presentations and reports to communicate project status
